Crop an image to your required width and height directly in your browser. Resouria's Image Cropper takes the crop from the center of the original image and lets you save the result as JPG, PNG or WebP.
Enter the exact pixel dimensions you need, choose an output format and image quality, then crop and download the finished image.
An image cropper removes unwanted areas around an image and creates a new image with specific dimensions. Cropping is different from simply resizing an image: resizing changes the size of the entire image, while cropping removes part of the original image.
This Image Cropper uses a center crop. This means the requested rectangle is positioned in the middle of the original image before the surrounding areas are removed.
Suppose your original image is 1600 × 1200 pixels and you request a crop of 800 × 600 pixels. The cropper takes the 800 × 600 pixel area from the center of the original image.
Because this tool automatically chooses the center, it is most useful when the important part of the image is already near the middle. If the subject is positioned near an edge, a manual crop may produce a better result.
Cropping and resizing solve different problems:
For example, if you have a wide photograph but need a square profile image, cropping can remove the unwanted left and right areas while keeping the central subject.
The cropping operation is performed using your browser's built-in image and canvas capabilities. The selected image does not need to be uploaded to a Resouria server for the crop itself.
This local approach can be useful for images containing private information. However, normal browser and device considerations still apply. For example, downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them.
No upload is required for the cropping process. The image is processed in your browser.
Yes. Enter the required width and height in pixels, provided they do not exceed the original image dimensions.
The current tool automatically takes the crop from the center of the original image.
Yes. PNG output can retain transparent areas. Avoid JPG if transparency is important because JPG does not support transparent pixels.
The quality setting controls the encoding quality used when creating JPG or WebP output. Higher settings generally retain more visual detail but can create larger files.
Yes. If you enter the original width and height, the resulting image contains the same pixel dimensions. In that case, there is effectively no area to remove.
File size depends on how the original image and the new image are encoded. Changing format or quality can result in a larger output even when the cropped image has fewer pixels.
Not with the current version. This tool is designed specifically for automatic center cropping. A manual crop-position feature would be needed to select an off-center area.
